You know your Pelvic Floor needs some love, but you have questions ...

What is Physiotherapy?

What exactly is wrong with me?

What does Pelvic Floor physical therapy involve?

Should I be nervous or worried?

We offer advanced treatments for Pelvic Floor conditions for all bodies

Dr. Stephanie is a highly skilled physical therapist and pelvic floor specialist who specializes in treating the muscular and organ-related dysfunction of the pelvis.  She has extensive knowledge and expertise in assessing the entire musculoskeletal system to develop a personalized treatment plan.

  The
pelvic floor consists of muscles and tissues that create a supportive sling from the pubic bone to the tailbone. These muscles play a crucial role in supporting the abdominal and pelvic organs, as well as controlling bladder and bowel functions, and sexual activity.

Pelvic floor dysfunction encompasses a wide range of conditions that arise from weak or tight muscles in the pelvic region, or impairments in the sacroiliac joint, lower back, coccyx, or hip joints, and can affect anyone regardless of age or gender..

Additionally, the tissues surrounding the pelvic organs can become irritated, leading to pelvic pain. These conditions can be caused by various factors such as infections, pregnancy or childbirth, chronic lower back pain, or surgical procedures.

The treatment for pelvic floor dysfunction and even
pediatric pelvic floor therapy is tailored to address your specific condition. It may involve therapeutic exercises, both external and internal manual therapy, as well as modalities like electrical stimulation. Furthermore, we provide education on self-management techniques to empower you in your journey towards recovery.
